The Wrotham production takes a book and turns it into a mad playwright’s dream. It is fun for Wrotham students and funny for the audience. Everyone enjoys it whether they’re main cast or ensemble. The play this year is ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and I am Grandpa Joe.
Our previous production was ‘The World Behind the Wardrobe’, based on the Narnia tales. However, we couldn’t call it that due to copyright. The school has been putting on productions for many years now and all of them have been excellent.
This is what the amazing saxophonist Owen L said about the musical cast for the production: “It is a very good band and we all have great talent that will take each of us very far in our musical careers. Not only this, I think the songs in the production are very enjoyable and are all great choices for this year’s production.”
Daniel F, who is starring as Charlie Bucket in the production, said: “It’s quite a different play to last year as last year’s was dark and this year’s is quite happy. I think it is fun for the main cast and the ensemble.”
